CHICAGO --
Governor Rod Blagojevich says it's "stupid" to ask if
he's concerned that he could be the next target of a
political corruption investigation by federal
authorities.
Blagojevich says he won't answer
"stupid questions like that."
Blagojevich was asked the question at
a Monday press conference as a federal jury continued its
deliberations on the fate of one of his former political
fundraisers.
Antoin "Tony" Rezko is accused of
scheming to get kickbacks from companies wanting state
contracts.
Blagojevich has not been charged with
any wrongdoing and he has repeatedly denied any
involvement in the case.
But Blagojevich's name was a
centerpiece of the trial that went to the jury last week.
